Software Engineer (f/m/d) – TV

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to take JavaScript beyond the browser and build frameworks and SDKs that run on Smart TVs, HbbTV, CTV and DVB devices. Based in Berlin or Cologne with up to 50 % remote work, you will join a team of experienced JavaScript developers shaping the future of TV advertising technology.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise JavaScript frameworks and SDKs for a wide range of TV and connected‑device platforms.
• Write comprehensive automated tests using Mocha, Supertest, Puppeteer or Playwright to ensure high reliability.
• Debug and resolve issues across diverse hardware environments, including TV manufacturers.
• Explore and implement HbbTV, CTV and DVB protocols.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in vanilla JavaScript (ES3‑ES5) and modern TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and version control.
• Passion for delivering production‑ready code and continuous learning.
