Software Engineer (TypeScript) – NestJS or React

About the role

OneTutor is an AI‑powered tutoring platform founded by the Technical University of Munich. As one of the first engineering hires, you will work directly with the CTO and CPO to shape the product that supports tens of thousands of learners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement APIs or front‑end features using NestJS or React with TypeScript.
• Model data and develop AI‑driven functionalities.
• Collaborate with product and engineering peers to design, ship, test, and maintain features.
• Participate in code reviews and occasional pair‑programming sessions.
• Gradually expand from backend to frontend (or vice‑versa) as you grow.

Required profile

• Solid experience with either NestJS + TypeScript or React + TypeScript.
• Strong curiosity, good communication, and a desire to learn.
• Motivation to impact educational outcomes.
• No degree or specific years of experience required.
