Working Student / Intern – Software Engineering & AI

About the role

Join alago as a Working Student/Intern in Software Engineering & AI and help build a platform that modernises the construction industry. You will work side‑by‑side with the core development team, gaining hands‑on experience on large‑scale, AI‑driven software.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the core dev team on real product features.
• Use cutting‑edge tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate development.
• Design, test, deploy and maintain backend or frontend components of the platform.
• Contribute ideas to improve performance, usability and overall user experience.
• Support QA activities and assist with customer onboarding and deployment.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Bachelors or Master’s program in Informatics, Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related field.
• C1 level fluency in German to work with industry‑specific data.
• Hands‑on experience building web front‑ends with JavaScript and React.
• Basic knowledge of Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and prompt engineering.
• Strong interest in AI/ML technologies.
• Available for at least six months.
