Mobile App Engineer (React Native)

About the role

Acemate is building an AI‑powered learning platform for higher education and is looking for a Mobile App Engineer with deep React Native expertise. You will join an early‑stage product team and be responsible for creating the mobile foundation from the ground up, shaping both architecture and user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the core mobile architecture, including API integration, state management and UI layers.
• Own end‑to‑end feature delivery: write code, ship releases, monitor performance and iterate based on user feedback.
• Build scalable systems using modern patterns such as MVVM or TCA and connect the client to effect‑based backend and AI services.
• Handle streaming AI responses, real‑time synchronization and offline‑first functionality.
• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, improving render cycles and app startup time.
• Maintain high code quality, type safety and UX consistency across the codebase.

Required profile

• Strong experience with TypeScript and React Native.
• Track record of taking full ownership of features from development to production.
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced, evolving startup environments.
• Ability to leverage AI tools effectively while writing clean, maintainable code.
